Since its origin at least 2,000 years ago, sake, the traditional rice wine of Japan, has gained 

popularity around the world. Sake has played an important role in Japanese culture and its 
history is steeped in tradition, innovation and custom. Sake has continued to be a drink of 

reverence, family and friendship, enjoyed in celebration to mark important occasions.

In this Sushi/Sake Dinner, our own ORC Chefs Shelby Confer, Eric Andreu and Executive Chef 

Damian Gilchrist present a mouthwatering display of sushi, paired with sake masterfully 

selected by Director of Beverage & Wine Operations, Sean Carroll.
