Chef Kevin Gillespie may be one of the most popular contestants to ever grace "Top Chef." After all,
his red, bushy beard had its own Facebook fan page. That fame turned the Woodfire Grill, where
he led the kitchen, into one of the South's hottest spots. His honest, genuine cooking resonated
with diners and today he is the owner and visionary behind two Georgia powerhouses, Gunshow
and Revival Decatur. The accolades continue to grow with nominations for the 2015 James Beard
Best Chef: Southeast semi-finalist and 2016 and 2017 finalist for Best Chef Southeast. In 2011, he
was named one of Forbes' "30 Under 30" in the magazine's listing of tomorrow's brightest stars.  In
February 2014, Gunshow earned the seventh spot on GQ magazine's list of "12 Most Outstanding
Restaurants." Gillespie’s debut cookbook, “Fire in My Belly,” was named a 2013 James Beard Award
Finalist in the "Cookbooks: American Cooking" category, followed by his second book "Pure Pork
Awesomeness." An Atlanta native, Gillespie began his culinary education at the Art Institute of
Atlanta. After graduating with honors, Gillespie went on to hold different
positions at several well-known Atlanta restaurants including chef de
partie at Atlanta Grill at The Ritz-Carlton, sous chef at two Urban Licks
and executive chef at Woodfire Grill. During Gillespie's time at Woodfire
Grill, the restaurant was featured on CNN and in Travel + Leisure,
Food & Wine and Men’s Health as a dining destination for visitors
to Atlanta. Southern Living magazine included Revival in its list
for Best New Restaurants in 20l6. Gamechanger, his newest
concept, opened at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Gillespie’s Red Beard
Restaurants is collaborating with Meriwether Companies to
open food halls throughout the South. We welcome Chef Kevin
Gillespie to our table.

“I always have fun at Gunshow, which I consider the most interesting place to eat in

Atlanta right now. Gillespie and his two henchmen cook with giddy freedom,”
